Once the program is open, go to Broadcast > Broadcast Settings...
Browse for your class, and make sure the lecture is the correct number
In annotations, write the appropriate tittle following the format: IE 448 Lecture 04: 05-10-12
Making shots live
Whatever you view on the right screen, is what is being recorded. To change views, choose a thumbnail from the shots below, once you have pressed it, the preview will appear in the left hand side screen and to switch it on the recording (make it appear on the right screen) press Go
Start/Stop recording
To start a recording, press the Record Icon to the top left portion of your window. Once a blue arrow appears, the recording has started. Make sure sound is being registered on the audio bar next to the recording screen. If the view is not live, you need to make sure Desktop Presenter is open on the Instructor PC

Access the instructor PC through the VNC shortcut on your desktop

Once on the Instructor PC, open Desktop Presenter and minimize this on the Instructor PC, then minimize the VNC Instructor PC on your desktop
Editing shots
Double click on a shot in the thumbnail views in Wirecast
This should open a screen where you could manipulate the dimension of the shots.
There should be no need to change the shot dimension for recordings, given the provided shots should suffice.
If you wish to create a new shot, click on the Blank Page icon, and click on Add New Shot.
